The TruFolia Testing Difference

TruFolia promises to be more than a regulatory hurdle. We are an asset to our customers, able to offer advice and information on testing procedures and compliance. We can help growers, manufacturers and retailers offer a better product at a reasonable cost, with rapid turn-around and responsive customer service.
We offer the following testing services:

Cannabinoids:

TruFolia tests more cannabinoids than any other lab. The compounds we test include: CBDV, CBDVA, CBD, CBG, THCV, CBDA, CBGA, CBN, D9 THC, THCVA, D8 THC, CBL, CBC, CBNA, THCA-A, CBCA, CBLA.
Instrument: HPLC

Residual Solvents:

Solvents can be left over from the extraction process. We test to ensure that solvents aren't present in the final product in unsafe quantities. We examine samples for 20 different solvents and report our findings.
Instrument: GC-MS

Terpenes:

Terpenes provide hemp and cannabis products with a flavor profile, which can also affect the overall experience. TruFolia tests for the presence and levels of 22 different terpene profiles.
Instrument: GC-FID/MS

Pesticides:

Pesticides are used in the growing process, so it's important to make sure that the end product doesn't contain the original pesticide in the consumable product.
Instrument: LC/MS/MS

Microbials:

Because hemp and cannabis are organic products, microbes can grow in the plant and in the harvested plant as well. We test for the presence of microbes as well as developing microbes that could occur in the final product.
Instrument: qPCR

Aflatoxins:

Aflatoxins are a family of toxins produced by certain fungi that are found on decaying vegation and are known carcinogens. Testing for Aflatoxins is essential to ensuring the safety of hemp and hemp based products.
Instrument: LC/MS/MS

Heavy Materials:

Fertilizers containing metals can be absorbed because hemp is a highly bio cumulative plant that picks up metals from the soil. Depending on the origin of the hemp, heavy metals can be present in higher quantities.
Instrument: ICP/MS

Foreign Material Testing:

During the growth, harvesting and extraction process, a variety of contaminants can get into a sample that aren't intended to be included. These materials can also present safety hazards.
Instrument: Microscope

Water Activity:

Water activity tests help determine how susceptible your product is to microbial growth.
Instrument: N/A

% Moisture:

By testing for % moisture we can determine whether a product has been completely and properly cured.
Instrument: Drying Oven

Cannabinoids and Terpenes:

We offer this combination tests to help ensure the consistency and quality of products through all stages of production and processing.
